Melanie - Update 1: Hopes & Lessons Day 1

My hopes for this summer are to grow confidently into the person that God has created me to be and to develop my friendships with everyone that is on my team. This hope also includes my brothers and sisters in Uganda.

A lesson that I learned yesterday is that waiting is active, not passive. With our first day, we did activities that taught us how to listen to each other, share ideas, and work together as a team.
