Empowerment is an essential piece when it comes to being a development agent. However, it is not easy. It is easier to do what’s called paternalism, but it’s harmful. Empowerment is beneficial but challenging. There are a lot of moving parts and people can be challenging, however there is a large amount of life that comes from doing so, as well as transformation.
