Journal prompt: What role does the Bible play in missions?

So many, many roles. I believe that when utilized properly, it can make the mission work we do effective and sustainable. If the Bible is informing our practice and service, then the effect on the community in need will last, it will continue to grow even beyond the time and effort we spend in person with them. The Bible makes it so when churches/communities/villages learn it, receive it, and hide it in their hearts it mobilizes them to give them confidence to begin serving their neighbors with the skills they have, their presence, and knowledge of God’s Word.
