Journal prompt: What role does the Bible play in missions?

With respect to missions, I believe that the Bible is our outline. When it comes to those we serve (for example, the poor), how we should serve (like Jesus did) and the why behind it, which is to usher in the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. In addition, not only is it our blueprint, but also the tool that creates a change and transforms environments. The Bible provides us with the means to change hearts and develop people. Since I’ve been in Africa, I have witnessed this kind of transformation. The Bible is our blueprint with respect to the ways in which we serve and behave, but it is also the tool in which we utilize, so as to change lives.
