Journal prompt: What role does the Bible play in missions?

In navigating how to answer this blog question prompt, I keep being reminded of our last few sermons. Specifically our last one Mr. Garner taught when he said we see other people through a lens of God’s Word. When learned that we have to walk by faith and not by sight and we develop that faith by hearing and knowing the Word of God. In mission we have to see things that aren’t there. We have to see with a heavenly mindset. And that starts with learning what the heavenly agenda is from God’s Word (the Bible). This has been emphasized throughout our entire internship. God’s Word informs everything we do, how we do it and why.
