How was your first day? What stood out to you?

My Thoughts

I’m so thankful to be here. There is nothing like being with 20 other young people who want to completely give themselves to God with no reservations. I know that because that is the reality, that we can do tremendous things this summer with Jesus. I’m inspired by the other people that I’m doing this with because they are full of joy and readiness for God to move. That makes us a strong and teachable team. It stands out to me because doing anything effective is so dependent on the people that are involved, and I can say that I love, trust, and have faith on behalf of the other people that are doing this with me. 

This isn’t my first internship, so it feels like somewhat familiar territory, but I can already tell that this one will be the best one yet. God has equipped me to be ready to learn as much as possible during this time, and that is my desire, for Jesus to teach me. The times of worship that we’ve had and our team-building exercises prove how near that possibility is as I choose to engage it. Growth is at hand. Maturation will be sure to show itself in me on the other side of this experience. And I can’t wait for all of it, as a humble student.
