If you’ve been a summer intern you know this scene: airport Bible studies. Wherever you go on summer internship, the Bible comes with you. It’s that explosive combination of God’s Word and a cross-cultural experience that changes lives. It doesn’t stop in the airport. It was our great privilege to welcome five East African youth as summer interns this year. While EA is their home, their eyes were still opened to the needs of people in their community and the Scriptural teaching that accompanied their service in schools, prisons, homes, youth conferences, gardens, and more! Please continue to pray for these young people as they implement the lessons they learned this summer in their daily lives as students at @institute_for_god! Our @slam_missions weekend led to so many new friendships that earlier this week we held another conference for youth leaders across Uganda! Futbol time! ⚽️ Our team of interns and facilitators have played soccer various times at schools and even at a Ugandan prison. Our team has played this team (our neighbors from St. Johns) on a couple of occasions. Today we treated their team to a trip to town for a pizza party! While in Uganda, interns are helping @nuwaterworks — a program of @god_intl — implement a project to bring water to 400+ kids at a local primary school, allowing them access for hand-washing and cooking. Follow along @nuwaterworks for more info! #godintl #nuwaterworks #godsi23 #summerinternship

A little look into our church visits. Throughout internship, interns visit a variety of churches from rural villages to the capital city. In each, they’re ready to share introductions, songs, testimonies, and get to receive the Word of God alongside church members.
