Ethan - Update 9: Debrief Blog 3

Journal prompt: How are you different after Summer Internship 2024? How have you changed? What people or experiences contributed? Are you happy about it?

How am I different because of this trip? I am different because now I have a responsibility to not only the people I met, but to God. Prior to this trip I had deniability as to my inexperience. Now that has all changed. I have faces and names to people across the world now. I’ve tasted and seen both what the wisdom of man provides and the wisdom of God provides. I have seen the conditions that people live under both in a physical sense and a mental/spiritual one as well. I am different because now I understand the importance of being able to change those realities using God's word. The leaders on our trip this year have contributed tremendously to this change in me, I have seen them model out the Word of God in so many different venues/environments, and in other ways, and I have been able to see the Word change whole realities in front of my eyes. I am so grateful to have seen this because it has developed my eyes to see what I did not before.
