I have learned the value of hospitality this week in sharing meals with those who have welcomed us into their homes. I was challenged by a teaching on Deuteronomy 8 where Moses teaches that man needs more than bread to survive. What is needed is the words that come from the mouth of the Lord.

While teaching us, our leader pointed out that it’s not just reading scripture that is needed, but that we need to be living it out. I’ve been encouraged when entering these host homes to see where the Lord is moving and recognize that this is where life is found. I already have had verses shared with me and conversations that have blessed me from the people who have hosted me.
