What skills or gifts do you have to offer on this Internship? 

I have a gift of encouragement and I'm pretty gosh darn funny. I also can carry a tune pretty well and am always ready to throw on a quick impromptu skit. I have a sharp attention to detail, especially when it comes to working with my hands. I have been teaching a pre-k class this past year and I have really enjoyed it. I think that the skills of engaging kids and helping break down larger concepts for them is something that I could offer this summer to the kids we will serve.

How can people be praying for you? 

I could use prayer for my heart to be softened to the Lord and what it is he wants to show me and teach me. I need prayer in remaining rooted in God's word every step of the way, preparation, during and coming back. I could use prayer to be alert and engaged with God's presence so as to not miss what he's doing. I need prayer in accepting that I am a student of God and that I am still learning and to not allow a fear of failure paralyze me, but to instead choose to be taught. I lastly want to ask for prayer for my friendships and team dynamic with all the people I will be serving alongside this summer, that I can love them well and be diligent to build them up.

What is your favorite Scripture, and why? 

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. This is my favorite scripture because the more I've been learning God's word, the more I just want to do his will. Learning and discerning his will has been the more challenging part for me. In moments where I feel so overwhelmed and I want so badly for God's will to be done but I don't know what that looks like, this verse grounds me and helps me to remember that God's will for me is to Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances.

If you were a superhero what would your power be? 

Reality Perception - sense and comprehend the whole truth, facts and mechanics behind anything no matter how it is hidden or how complex it is.
