What skills or gifts do you have to offer on this Internship? 

General maintenance/building, videography and photography, food service, working with kids, and organizational skills

How can people be praying for you? 

I would appreciate prayer that I can go into this trip with a humble attitude. It can be easy to assume a viewpoint that I’m too young or underdeveloped for this mission, but I often call to mind Moses in his initial calling. His first response after hearing God’s concern was “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” (Ex. 3:11) Years down the road, through obedience and faith Moses was the prophetic leader of Israel. He was fit for what God called him to, but he needed to have faith in what God said, The last prayer request is that I would feel God’s nearness as I go into this trip. God’s presence was the very thing he gave to Moses in his time of fear and it was enough. I pray that God’s nearness and my humble position will allow God to form me into who he needs while on this trip.

What is your favorite Scripture, and why? 

Recently, I would say my favorite scripture is 1 John 4:20-21 which says, “ Those who say, “I love God,” and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen. 21 The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.” This recognizes that we serve an invisible God yet we have physical brothers and sisters we can serve. This excites me because my biblical education should always culminate in service to others and this trip will be a wonderful opportunity to practice that service.

If you were a superhero what would your power be? 

If I were a superhero my power would be the ability to attend multiple social events at the same time. Although fomo plays a role l, this is ultimately birthed out of a love for people and the reality that time is limited.
