Journal prompt: Is empowerment easy? Why or why not?

Empowerment is not an easy ball to get rolling. It is much easier to simply do things for people and then leave. But to empower them requires you to teach them how to do those things without you. This takes much longer and a lot more work. But its long-lasting impact is well worth it. Creating job opportunities and self-sustaining communities is the work of God. But there are many hurdles. Namely money. Most communities believe that cannot do things because they lack funds. So teaching them that is not the case is one of the biggest obstacles to empowerment.
