Journal prompt: Is empowerment easy? Why or why not?

Education and advocacy have to take place before you are able to fully empower a person or community. You educate by teaching the Word of God, which opens the eyes of those who have been educated by the voices of culture and the world. Advocacy takes place when we speak up for those whose voices are not heard by the world’s systems. These two things alone are hard work. This means that empowering someone or a community is challenging. It takes time, discernment, and a lot of prayer and dedication to empower someone. But it is worth it.
