Journal prompt: What role does the Bible play in missions?

You cannot do missions without the Word of God. What example will you have to follow if not Jesus’ life, and God’s direction from his commandments? I believe that God’s Word is the foundation for doing missions. We have to be able to look at Jesus’ life, and take note of how he serves others, and what his values were, and then copy it. Our mission work has to be able to be found in God’s Word, or our work is in vain and without depth. So in a short answer, the Bible plays an immense role in missions. It is the blueprint of instruction for how we should serve those around the world, and share the gospel with them.
