Lessons on Hospitality

Journal Prompt

“What have you learned about the value of hospitality from being in people’s homes this week?”

My Thoughts

I learned there is such a high importance of paying attention to our hosts and listening to their stories. When I was at a dinner hosted by Matt and Tori Webb in their home, I was able to learn about African food [since they serve on the East Africa team]. I can use that knowledge later in internship when we are in Africa. You can also tell that people really appreciate it when they feel like you are truly engaging and listening to their stories.
