What skills or gifts do you have to offer on this Internship? 

God has given me the gift of music. I started playing the guitar at a young age and have served on worship teams in my church and in my community for the past 5 years. I am interested in how other cultures worship God and looking forward to learning and growing in this area. 

People tell me I’m good with kids. I look forward to sharing the love of God with the kids of El Salvador, Kenya, and Uganda. If that means being a human jungle gym, playing soccer or basketball or just hanging out, I’m looking forward to any way I can bring a smile to their faces.

How can people be praying for you? 

People can pray for determination, wisdom, and peace. The world has many distractions/obstacles. Determination will help me stay on the right path. (Matthew 7:13-14). As I face these obstacles I would like prayer for wisdom to stay the course. Stress is harmful to the mind and body, which may affect our spiritual connection with God. Pray for peace as I seek God’s provision for this trip. I know that God is a good Father and will take care of us.

What is your favorite Scripture, and why? 

One of my favorite passages comes from the book of James. James 1:22- "But be doers of the word, and not only hearers only, deceiving yourselves." We are called to mimic Christ. How are we supposed to accomplish this, if we don't obey/do the word? Living God's word is different from hearing it. Jesus explains this concept of hearing and doing the Word in the gospel of Matthew 13:18-23, the parable of the sower.
