How was your first day? What stood out to you?

My Thoughts

The first day of internship was very encouraging for me. At first I didn't know what to expect and the first couple activities that we participated in didn't make too much sense to me when it came to identifying the deeper meaning behind them. But everything started to come together when Mr. Garner brought us all together at the end of the day and explained the meaning of each thing that we did today. We have to learn to see things and increase our sensory capabilities. Sometimes it can be our culture or traditions that are unexamined that cause us to miss things that are right in front of us. I know that this internship is really going to bring change in our student body and that none of us will remain the same. Everybody seems to be giving themselves completely to this time that we have and it encourages me to give everything to the Lord and trust the process that we are going through. Trusting in him and relying on strength that he gives me is going to help me learn from and overcome difficulties. What we are learning during our week in Nashville for boot camp is going to be helpful for the rest of the trip and I want to make sure that I can continue to stay completely focused on what God is doing with us.
