During his Immersion trip to El Salvador, Mark Olivera used the skills he developed through the ProDev program at The Institute for GOD to serve in facility maintenance. Through cleaning, organizing, and repairing, he’s helping create a space of rest and peace for the community.

During a youth night in El Salvador, Jacob Olivera saw how even a few hours of joy, worship, and shared stories can become a refuge for young people facing daily pressure. Through games, conversation, and Scripture, GOD International helped create space where they could feel free, known, and loved.

On his third international mission trip with The Institute for GOD, Jacob Olivera reflects on how his Hispanic heritage, biblical studies, and teaching experience have uniquely equipped him to serve in El Salvador—bringing his education to life through real community impact.

During his second Immersion trip with GOD International, Mark Olivera returned to El Salvador and reunited with children he had served before. Through classroom teaching and intentional connection, he’s discovering how building a Christ-centered environment can shape the next generation.
