Ty - Update 3: SLAM Blog

This week has helped me step into a new level of confidence in my faith and self. It’s often hard for me to understand why people view me the way they say they do. I default to not believing them unintentionally. This week has helped me greatly in seeing the gifts God gave me through the challenges, successes and failures. God made me. I have to acknowledge that and the great work he has put in to get me here. Through so much effort and love from my family, teachers, and mentors I’m able to confidently step into this life that God has for me.

A big part of this week for me was meal coordination for SLAM. It was just me and Lydia as far as interns and it went really well. Though it was a lot of work and that work keeps going we both made a great team that helped serve tons of kids all day. Though our team was small we were both hard-working and get things done. I’m very excited to see what the rest of this trip has in store for us. I cannot believe it has only been 9 days.
