GOD Int’l Summer Internship 2024: Spotlight on East African Interns
We are delighted to introduce seven East African participants of the 2024 GOD International Summer Internship. Thanks to significant scholarship support, these interns from Kenya and Uganda are poised to bring unique perspectives and energies to this year's program. They will join US interns in Uganda for a cross-cultural experience centered around community service and spiritual growth.
This year’s internship includes both first year interns as well as trainees second year interns returning for a special leadership trajectory.
Meet the Interns and Trainees
Quinn (Uganda) - Trainee: Returning for a second year, Quinn is stepping into a leadership role, guiding newer interns through their experiences.
Barnabas, Trainee (Uganda), writes: “Since the previous leadership, I have seen so much growth in my mindset and the way I solve problems and I want that growth to continue so that I’m better equipped to serve everyone around me whenever they need my help.
Victor - Trainee (Kenya): Back for his second stint, Victor aims to enhance his leadership skills and deepen his service impact. He writes, “I want to learn more and more of Jesus from various experiences as well as continuing with Jesus’ mission.
Joseph - Trainee (Uganda), says he wants to do this internship to “continue immersing myself in the Lord’s work and getting to fulfill his purpose in my life, being a faithful steward and learning from people who have studied the Word and served God their entire lives.”
Winnie - Intern (Uganda), writes: “I want to develop as a person. I want to be exposed to a different level of training under leadership who are highly skilled and can equip me with the right tools to do service ministry beyond my locality.”
Gideon - Intern (Uganda), reflects: “I want to complete this internship becaues it’s part of my call to serve and learn in this summer with my fellow students and leaders, so I don’t want to miss out on anything.”
Lydia - Intern (Uganda): New to the internship, Lydia brings fresh enthusiasm to the group and is excited to be a part!
Scholarship Opportunities and Support
These interns are supported by scholarships covering up to 95% of their participation costs, demonstrating our commitment to making this transformative opportunity accessible. This support allows them to engage fully without the burden of financial constraints, focusing on their development and the community impact they will help create.
